Some insights about why I choose which lob wedge and why it might change from week to week. There are a certain amount of factors. E.g. this week we are playing with less rough than we are used to normally. Yet the grass around the course is mostly Bermuda, meaning there is a lot of grain (I.e. the direction the grass is growing). As a general rule of thumb more bounce helps when playing Bermuda courses. As a consequence I opted for the K* Grind this week - 59° loft and 6° bounce. Other factors might be the amount of sand in the bunkers. With little sand lower bounce options are the better option. More sand higher bounce options help you not to dig as much and get more consistent contact with the ball. Now it’s time to enjoy the #QatarMasters 😎
