Almost three years after entering foreclosure, the long-struggling Valley West Mall is finally going on the market.
Commercial real estate brokerage CBRE announced Thursday it will be listing the two-story, 856,000-square-foot mall. It named no price for the property, whose buildings the Polk County assessor valued at just $100 in 2024. The land — 58 acres on Valley West Drive just north of Interstate 235 — was valued at $19.5 million.
It's a not-so-golden anniversary for the 50-year-old valleywestmall. But Todd Millang, senior vice president at CBRE|Hubbell Commercial, said he expects a lot of interest in the property — both locally and nationally.
