In the first rivalry meeting, Nick Purdie ‘25 nailed a tiebreaking three-pointer with three seconds left to break a tie and give the No. 2 Crusaders a tremendous 51-49 victory over No. 1 St. Joe’s before a sellout crowd in excess of 1,200 in the Kennedy Field House. On Friday night, it’s No. 2 Canisius at No. 1 St. Joe’s before a sellout crowd in Hogan Gymnasium. The winner of both teams’ season finale will claim the Monsignor Martin Athletic Association regular season championship and the top seed for the Manhattan Cup playoffs. Canisius is 20-3, St. Joe’s is 19-3; both are 12-1 in league play. The game will be broadcast by wnyathletics. Tickets are on sale at the CHS reception desk through Friday afternoon (8 a.m.-4 p.m.).
