Newsflash: You don’t have to visit the zoo to get a glimpse of Canadian wildlife. Not when national parks like Wateron are practically in our backyard 🦌
Located in Wild Rose Country’s deep south, Waterton Lakes National Park is known for its vibrant town and gorgeous waterfalls. It’s also a great place to spot wildlife against the snowy landscape during winter months.
Bighorn sheep and deer are a common sight in Watertown throughout winter. Watch for elk from your vehicle at the Blakiston fan, or venture into the paths throughout the park.
Although the prospect of seeing wildlife in an Alberta park is exciting, it’s also important to take precautions and behave responsibly – for both the animals’ sake and yours.
Dress warm, be safe, and have some fun in wonderful Waterton ❤️
