#NUSoC alumni Hayley E Wallenfeldt and Seojung Jang are United States Institute for Theatre Technology, Inc. (USITT)’s 2025 Young Designers, Managers, and Technicians (YDMT) award winners! Wallenfeldt, who graduated with a degree in communication, won the Richard Hay Undergraduate Scene Design Award & The USITT Scene Design Award sponsored by Rose Brand. "I would not be where I am without the WirtzCenter Staff. They gave me an unprecedented amount of design opportunities for an undergraduate,” Wallenfeldt said. “The foundation of what I know about good collaboration between designers and technicians is from their tutelage working in that Scene Shop.
