What would you do if you couldn’t do what you love? For NBA Hall of Famer Chris Bosh, this question became a reality a decade ago when a blood clot was found in his leg.
REBUILT, our digital documentary that chronicles Bosh’s journey after learning he was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism, shows him speak candidly about first experiencing pain, the trials and tribulations of recovery, and how this ultimately affected his 13-year career.
During the Miami Heat's media day in 2016, Bosh reacted to hearing Pat Riley's comments about his future while sitting on a dock at outside his home. The team was unable to clear him for basketball activities due to a failed physical which ultimately ended his tenure in South Beach.
This story is even more relevant today as the San Antonio Spurs franchise player Victor Wembanyama was diagnosed with a deep vein thrombosis and has been ruled out for the season with an injury.
