❓ Many are unfamiliar with the term “SEL.” 💪🧠 SEL or social emotional learning is the process of developing skills to understand and regulate emotions, to build relationships, and to make responsible decisions. 👑 SEL contributes to better communication, can easily solve and negotiate problems, and can easily relate to different individuals and cultures. 🏆 In other words, SEL learning allows a child to thrive in academic and career settings.
📅 Starting in 2020 to support children’s mental health, well-being, and academic recovery, this year is the 5th anniversary of SEL Day. 🏛️ Since 2024, SEL has received support from the White House and a bipartisan resolution was created for SEL Week (March 3rd - March 7th) in the Senate.
✨ This year’s theme is “Skills for Success, Ready for the Future.” 🤔 Question: How can you implement SEL Day and promote SEL in your community?
