A Special Visit from Happy Tails Pet Therapy! Today, our school had the sweetest visitors—therapy dogs from Happy Tails Pet Therapy came for their READing Paws program for Read Across America Week! Some students had the chance to read to these amazing dogs, building confidence and fluency in such a comforting and supportive way. I also brought some of my students by just to meet the pups, and the joy on their faces said it all! Moments like these remind me why I’m so passionate about the connection between animals and learning. Seeing the impact these therapy dogs had on our students makes me even more excited about a dream of mine—getting Tux certified as a therapy dog! It’s on our bucket list, and I can’t wait for the day I get to bring him to schools and share the magic of dogs in education.
