#PeopleofJSU: “My parents met and fell in love at Jackson State. My mother grew up in Itta Bena and my father in Chicago, and they both graduated from JSU. So did my older sister and two brothers. Now it’s my turn, the youngest and the last one in my family to attend Jackson State University. And now, we’re this giant Jacksonian family. A JSU love story come true. My family is full of baseball players and baseball lovers, and Jackson State’s Division 1 baseball team was one of the things I was very interested in before I got here. But once I arrived, I realized my true passion was political science. I love people, helping others and serving my community, and politics felt like the right path for me.
