A very different coffee recipe today - Indonesian Ginger Coffee, Kopi Jahe! 🇮🇩
This is a really nicely spiced and sweetened coffee drink and is easy to make a batch of it! And it has no dairy which is a plus!
For this recipe I used beans 3 year aged Sumatra beans I roasted from @sweetmarias - but any medium roast will go well!
Kopi Jahe Recipe:
33g of medium ground coffee
100g cane, palm, or brown sugar
1/2 stick of cinnamon
3 cloves
4 cardamom pods
3 inch piece of ginger
1 liter of water
1. Grind 33g of coffee and add to a medium sauce pan.
2. Add sugar, cinnamon, and cloves.
3. Crush cardamom pods and ginger. Add to sauce pan.
4. Add water and bring to a boil. Then simmer for 10 minutes
5. Strain with a cheese cloth into container and serve hot or chill and serve iced! Enjoy!
