The City of Rosemead and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Temple Station, are hosting a Community Academy! There will be opportunities to learn more about Temple Station in this 7-week program, with classes taking place each Wednesday, from April 16 through May 21, 2025. The final session will be a graduation ceremony on May 28, 2025. The topics for the 6-week academy include a presentation by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office, an overview of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department with an emphasis on patrol/sheriff traffic procedures, a patrol ride-a-long, drug and fentanyl awareness, and Homeless Outreach awareness by the Los Angeles Centers for Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Participants will have the opportunity to tour Temple Sheriff’s Station and Twin Towers Custody Facility.
