#fosterFriday A few weeks ago, Katniss' came into our care. This eight-year-old Persian girl was in rough shape, with matted fur and dental disease. Her previous owner could not afford to care for her, and assumed euthanasia was the only option. At SHS, euthanasia is always a last resort, and we offered her owner alternatives to help Katniss. Her owner agreed to surrender her to us, where we knew we could find her a loving forever home. Katniss was placed with an incredible foster, who helped her get settled and care for her while she underwent treatment. They report that Katniss is sweet and loving and has been such a fun foster to welcome into their home. Katniss will be available for adoption this Saturday at our petsmartcharities Everyday Adoption Center, and we can't wait for her to get a second chance. Help us find her purrfect person! 🐾🧡
