Gold Rush made with buffalotrace. Put this in your weekend plans! A Gold Rush is a delicious and refreshing bourbon cocktail that was first created at famed New York City bar Milk & Honey in the early 2000s and makes a great holiday cocktail IMO. It is essentially a Whiskey Sour with honey in place of sugar. FYI - Honey syrup is made by mixing 1:1 honey and water and heating it up in a pot and stirring until the color becomes one.

• 2 oz buffalotrace bourbon
• 3/4 oz honey syrup
• 3/4 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
• Fill a yeti shaker cup with ice. Pour in the Buffalo Trace bourbon, honey syrup and lemon juice. Shake 8 - 10 seconds.
• Serve over a large cube or an ice filled glass.
•Garnish with a twisted lemon peel.
