I’m proud to announce that I have become the Official Pitmaster of the dallascowboys. This is a full circle moment in my life as my love of outdoor cooking started in the parking lot of a Cowboys game.
27 years ago, I drove to the old Texas Stadium to apply for a job as an usher. I started out working on the visiting 40-yard line watching The Cowboys play guys like Jerry Rice and Brett Favre. Then I moved to doing water for the dccheerleaders (to this day I’m not sure why I ever gave that gig up). Then my college buddies and I decided to buy a season ticket each. Someone had to do the cooking at the tailgate, so I raised my hand. My outdoor cooking journey started in the Red parking lot at the old Texas Stadium, and I still have that “Dallas Cowboys Keg-A-Que” grill that we started on.
