“Having a camera that captures rich, true-to-life colours makes all the difference in bringing my images to life,” says Michele Du Plooy (michele.d.p), an underwater wildlife photographer and Canon FUTURES Alumna. Growing up in a photography-loving household, Michele developed a passion for capturing wildlife using her father’s Canon cameras. Now working with clients like the Coral Restoration Foundation, she relies on a camera that accurately preserves the vibrant colours of the underwater world—an environment where colour can quickly fade at varying depths. Her advice for wildlife photographers? “Let the wildlife come to you rather than chasing after them.” This ethical approach results in more natural images. “At the end of the day, photography is a constant learning process. The more you shoot, the more you improve—so just keep going!” #CanonCanada #CanonCreator
