An act of kindness (and that moment she holds his hand in gratitude): We were at the Sepulveda fire and the road was closed to traffic. But a woman drove up. She was distraught and in tears. She explained that she has a phobia of driving on the highway and couldn't proceeded through the detour which would take her onto the 405 freeway. So Captain Jason Ortiz of the LAFD offered to walk her through the fire zone and see her safely to the other side.
