I feel like once I start getting something frequently it means it’s time to make it. Plus you can never go wrong with toum and pita 😋 recipe below!!
Ingredients:
-Toum/Garlic sauce: 1/2cup garlic cloves, 1tsp salt, 1.5c neutral oil, 1/4c lemon juice
-2tsp active yeast
-1/2tsp sugar
-3cups all purpose flour
-1.5tsp salt
-2tbsp olive oil
Recipe:
-Toum: peel garlic (you can add the cloves to a container and shake it for a couple minutes to peel it). Cut in half and take out any green stems. Add to a food processor with the salt. Pulse to form a paste and slowly add 2tbsp oil. Once it starts to look creamy slowly add neutral oil (1tbsp at a time) and lemon juice, alternating between the two until its light and fluffy (15min total).
