KOREAN CHICKEN BURGER, CHEESE CURDS AND SMASHBURGER IN BERKELEY, CA CHIMMELIER 1823 SOLANO AVE BERKELEY, CA I was craving some Korean fried chicken again and I stumbled upon this spot. They started out in LA but now have a location in Berkeley and I believe Oakland will be opening soon. At the same location they also have Oh G Burger. Let’s get to it! GALBI CHICKEN WINGS - These wings weren’t bad at all. Not the worse, not the best. The batter is crispy enough and the chicken is juicy. CHEESE CURDS - Fried cheese curds with a crispy batter. Loved these! Especially with the garlic aioli. K-CHICKEN BURGER - I’ve had many chicken sandwiches and this one isn’t bad. Potato bun, sauce, pickle and coleslaw. The batter wasn’t as crispy as I wanted it but the end pieces were crispy. It has a little bit of a spice but nothing crazy. I enjoyed this a lot more with the hot chili oil I brought.
