Ready for an adventure? The St. Thomas Elevated Park, Canada’s only elevated park, rises 95 feet above the Kettle Creek valley. 🌳☁️
Originally built in 1929 as the Michigan Central Railroad Kettle Creek Bridge, it once carried about 40 trains per day. After the railway was abandoned, the bridge was preserved and transformed into one of Southwestern Ontario’s most iconic landmarks. 🚂
In 2017, the park opened, spanning 30 feet wide and 850 feet long, retaining the essence of the original railway. Now visitors can go on scenic walks and take in impressive public art installations along the way. 😍
The park, located about 30 minutes from London, Ontario, is open daily from dawn to dusk. Parking is available on Centre Street, and additional spots are nearby at the Jumbo Memorial. 🌇
Don't miss the chance to check out Canada’s first and only elevated park! 🤩
