Just when you thought Ontario couldn’t get any better, it turns out it's home to the world's largest natural skating rink—right in the heart of Ottawa! ⛸️⁠ ⁠ The iconic Rideau Canal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, transforms into a 7.8 km stretch of glistening ice every winter, welcoming skaters to glide through a true Canadian winter wonderland. ❄️⁠ ⁠ It stretches from downtown Ottawa to Hartwells Locks, with rest stops along the way. Each stop features accessible washrooms, fire pits, picnic tables, and benches. Depending on the location, there may also be heated change rooms and food and drink vendors. 😁⁠ ⁠ Need skates or a sleigh?
