#Subaru has always loved not-quite acronyms. WRX was originally born as an Impreza trim level, standing for World Rally eXperimental, before becoming a separate (but Impreza-based) model in its own right. Apparently tS stands for “tuned by STI.” This one now sits at the top of the WRX performance hierarchy, and the shrinking size of the rally-replica segment means it is now one of few relatively affordable high-performance all-wheel-drive sedans left on the market.
