Adélie penguins are known for their bold personalities and fearlessness. What they lack in size or stature compared to their four-foot emperor cousins, they more than make up for with their resilience. Adélies parents share the responsibilities of raising their chicks and regularly brave the frigid depths of the Southern Ocean to secure food for them, evading leopard seals and orcas in the process. Their tenacity and will to thrive in one of the harshest environments on Earth has always reminded me that mother nature is never one to give up. So why should we?
