Operation Space Baby is underway…✨ My secondary infertility journey has included a lot of hopeful waiting, but this feels like the most anxiety-inducing wait so far. I was overjoyed to wake up and find out we retrieved 24 eggs, but I’m also so grateful I had already been mentally prepared for how steeply that number would drop at each stage over the next week. Of the 24, only 13 were mature, and only 10 of those were able to fertilize. Next week I’ll find out how many of the remaining 10 become actual embryos that could be transferred. Still, I’m feeling very hopeful and optimistic.
