Some federal employees at the CDC woke up this morning to emails they had been laid off. Others found out when they showed up to work and their badges didn’t work. Major divisions like the CDC’s 500 person HIV division have been impacted. In some cases, those I spoke to said the fact these reduction in force notices came out on April Fools Day is not lost on them.
