JV KNIGHTS TAKE DOWN NAVARRO: The JV softball team beat Navarro 16-0 on March 25 at Noack.
Freshman shortstop Eleanor Klein is proud of the way her team performed on defense and offense, keeping Navarro from getting on the board and run-ruling them with four runs each of the four innings they played.
“We played really well and held up our guard the whole time,” Klein said.
Klein feels that the key to the Knights’ defensive shutout was the way they kept up their energy throughout the game.
“I think we were much louder on the field and in the dugout,” Klein said. “I think it brought up our energy a lot even though it was hot.”
The win against Navarro was especially special for Klein because she was named player of the game.
“I’ve been working outside of school to get better so it felt good to have that be recognized by my coaches and teammates,” Klein said.
