Keith and Hunk are really Jeff and Rocky. They thought we wouldn't notice, but we did. As we've talked about in the past, the original plans for Voltron were never meant to be an American adaptation of the Beast King GoLion anime, but to create a new story by combining the footage of three separate anime. The Lion Force episodes *mostly* used GoLion footage. However, any footage of The Galaxy Alliance was taken from Armored Fleet Dairugger XV, including in the intro. This helped creation cohesion with the later Vehicle Team episodes. In the case of the Galaxy Garrison, they were meant to be the same characters. Unlike when we first meet Keith and Hunk. Instead of GoLion's Akira Kogane and Tsuyoshi Seidou, the footage is actually of Manabu Aki and Shinobu Kai from Armored Fleet Dairugger XV.
