HIP STRENGTH 🔨 : - Athletes need strong hip muscles to perform movements effectively in all directions: flexion/extension, abduction/adduction, and internal/external rotation. These muscles also stabilize the pelvis, providing a solid base for lower body movements. If the hips are unstable, it can lead to predictable patterns of dysfunction throughout the body, resulting in injuries. Maintaining a balance between agonist and antagonist muscles is crucial for injury prevention. Common training routines often result in stronger hip extensors compared to hip flexors, which can lead to hip flexor strains and a posterior pelvic tilt. This tilt can increase the curve in the lower back (lumbar lordosis), making it more prone to injury. Similarly, having a balanced strength ratio between hip adductors and abductors is important for overall hip health. - #hiphealth #healthyhips #hipmobility #mobilitytraining #mobilitytraining #mobilitywork #mobilitywod
