9th place in Oceanside, my best result ever 27’ 🏊🏻‍♂️ (4’ from front) 2:11 🚴🏻‍♂️ (321/334 av/np) 1:09 🏃🏻‍♂️ (#2 in the race to Blu) I didn’t really have expectations going in. I knew I was really fit, but I had just gotten my TT back from being carbon repaired 3 days before we left for CA so I barely got to ride it and otherwise did the entire 13 week block indoors on the road bike. It ended up being ok but I was rusty af and didnt ride the ups, downs, corners and shit pavement as fast as I could have despite decent power. I will get em in Chatt in 6 weeks. The run was crazy. My mustache was on the line and justinriele was 12 minutes ahead coming off the bike. And honestly, I was banking on winning the bet and having that $500 to buy my flights to 70.3 Chattanooga. So I ran my ass off and thought it still wasnt going to be enough until literally 1 minute left in the 4 hour race, I saw him just up ahead and summoned every fiber of my being to get by before the finish.
