I recently thrifted this beautiful tulip stained glass piece and it sparked an idea for a new print. I’ve always been captivated by the way light passes through stained glass, creating vibrant colors and textures, the same way the cyanotype process does.
Initially, I dreamed of using a real stained glass window to make the print, but after considering the cost and physical logistics, I realized that wasn’t the most practical option.
Instead, I decided to get creative with a digital approach. I designed a digital negative with an image of stained glass, and I’m obsessed with how it turned out!
I sewed this one onto a thrifted denim jacket, but honestly, I think these prints would look amazing on so many things—bags, vests, or even just as wall hangings.
What do you think?? Should I make more like this?? 🩵🌷
