In the 1970s, The Golden Spur was the place to be on campus. Gamecock patrons could grab lunch, treat a professor to a 40-cent beer after class or, for the after-hours crowd, catch a band play at the second-floor Russell House bar. Though the beloved bar closed in the 1980s, its legacy lives on through two new campus dining destinations: The Spur in Campus Village and The Golden Spur at 650 Lincoln.
