The Michael Malone era in Denver appears to be over after a decade. According to reports from ESPN and the Denver Post, the Denver Nuggets fired head coach Malone as of April 8. ESPN later confirmed that the team also fired general manager Calvin Booth. After a rocky start to the season, the Nuggets seemed to find a rhythm. Injuries to almost all the top players on the team, particularly Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray, have made the road difficult, but behind another historic season from three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic, the team seemed to be in a good place heading into the final stretch of the season. But the Nuggets slid from second place in the west to fourth with a 47-32 record after losing four games in a row.
