At 20+ locations in Center City Philadelphia, cameras are now enforcing how long you can park in loading zones. The Philadelphia Parking Authority's "Smart Loading Zone" initiative will scan your license plate and send you a ticket if you are in a loading zone for longer than 3 minutes while not registered for the CurbPass app. If you're registered, you can park in the loading zone for up to an hour at a rate of 10 cents per minute. A three-week grace period starts April 1 and tickets will start being issued on April 21.
