Ben Salb is a macro photographer that specializes in high frame focus stacks of living bugs and spiders. In order to reproduce the details in his images, he is taking many shots at high magnification and then combining them all in post. It’s a labor of love and a single image can take hours of editing. Any major movement by the subject during a focus bracket (focus bracketing is the function he uses to take the sequential images, focus stacking is the colloquial name for the entire process) will ruin an attempt.
