So you’re here because you wanna know how I am able to track a ball going 100+ mph. My advice is here as follows and I would like this to be as educational as possible! 1. Focal length matters: If you look at my hands in the bottom POV - you can notice when the ball leaves one persons stick, I zoom out slightly - this wakes up the focus. As the ball is in the air I slowly zoom back in towards my target, keeping auto focus engaged. If you are too tight or too wide the auto is going to freak out. I am usually between 100-140mm on these, you will rarely see me at 200. 2. F STOP: I am always between 3.5 and 4.5. The lower you go the harder it is to hold focus. 3. Equipment matters: if you’re using a lens, that is way too wide or way too tight it gets very tricky. My mii 70-200 is one of the best auto focusing lenses on the market.
