theoudaily was one of several news organizations that played an integral role in covering the Oklahoma City bombing on April 19, 1995. During a panel hosted by gaylordcollege to commemorate the 30th anniversary, former OU Daily reporter Michelle Strain reflected on her life-changing experience as a student journalist. She and an OU Daily photographer were in Oklahoma City on the day of the attack, which killed 168 people.
