During a recent solidarity delegation to Palestine, we spoke with Palestinian leaders about a wide range of issues. One topic that was frequently discussed was the best ways for us to be effective in our Palestinian advocacy and activism within our own countries. These two quotes have been living in my spirit ever since. "Don't suffer for Palestine, be smart for Palestine." "It is important for you to be alive. We don't need you to be a tragic hero, we have enough tragic heroes." There will undoubtedly be times when we must put our own bodies on the line and risk more than we could ever imagine, but doing so should not be the primary measure of the efficacy of our advocacy work. #Palestine #FreePalestine
