Let’s head to the Lone Star State today for our #ArmyJROTC #Cadetoftheweek 🤠 Meet Elizabeth Rigney, a senior at Sam Houston Math, Science, and Technology Center in Houston, Texas. Rigney is the 1st Battalion’s current battalion commander. She has also served as squad leader, assistant logistics officer, platoon leader, company commander, and executive officer. Rigney serves as a drill team squad leader, and last year they placed third in All-Service Color Guard at the National Drill and Fitness Championship. A standout student, Rigney currently ranks #1 in her graduating class. She is a member of National Honor Society and Senior Committee. Last summer, Rigney attended Texas Girls State and competed in their oratorical competition, placing second and winning a scholarship. She loves to challenge herself and is motivated to develop personal discipline and prepare for future leadership rolls.
