Meet Christine Becher, a junior at Campbell University.
Following in the footsteps of her mother, Becher is majoring in Nursing with a double minor in psychology and military science.
“My mom, she has been a nurse for almost 20 years, and she always comes home with stories about how a patient’s life has been impacted. I truly look up to her and I am inspired to carry on her legacy.”
Since joining Army ROTC, Becher has put her leadership skills to work in the nursing classroom.
“Some of the qualities that I have learned and fine-tuned from the Army are my ability to delegate tasks, communicate with peers and subordinates, and carry out the task at hand as a team. These are all essential skills learned from the Army that will transfer over to my job to enable me to become a better nurse.”
