Today we’re heading to the Garden State to meet our Army JROTC #CadetOfTheWeek 🎉 Meet Rith Charles, a sophomore with the Crusader Battalion at Irvington High School in New Jersey. Charles joined #ArmyJROTC as a freshman to develop as a leader and see what opportunities the program could offer – she also loves wearing the uniform. “JROTC has opened up many opportunities for me and continuing to be involved will motivate me to reach my full potential. JROTC has helped me build my character by learning how to work with others and improving my leadership skills.” Charles, the youngest of three, was born in Haiti before her family moved to the states. She is motivated by her parents sacrifices to excel and be successful. “I strive to be a leader to fill them with happiness. My parents have given me the tools to succeed, and I want to make the most of any leadership opportunities.” Charles holds leadership roles within the Crusader Battalion.
