#NationalVolunteerWeek š¤ Meet Laura Laidley, a
#volunteer from the North Central Region. Laura is a "BARK Volunteer," meaning she helps care for our dogs while in they're in professional training. Duties include giving baths, cleaning kennels and taking dogs on walks.
She started
#volunteering with Canine Companions North Central Training Center about two years ago, and she's been at there every Friday afternoon since. No matter the weather - heavy snow, pouring rain or sunny or high humidity - you can always find Laura happily walking the dogs. šāš¦ŗ
"She is fantastic at what she does. If you looked up 'BARK Volunteer' in the dictionary, it would just be a picture of Laura," says Zach, one of our trainers at the region.
Laura says she enjoys spending time with the dogs in professional training and following their journeys to becoming
#servicedogs. Furthermore, she's grateful for the Canine Companions community she's now a part of.
