A federal judge has issued a temporary restraining order against the Trump administration, preventing the deportation of four University of Iowa students who had their student records terminated on April 10.
The judge, Rebecca Goodgame Ebinger, issued the order April 24, for the four unnamed students who filed their lawsuit against the Department of Homeland Security and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement just three days earlier.
The restraining order requires the federal government to reinstate the students' statuses in the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System backdated to April 10, when they were first notified of the termination.
