By the 1980s, and ‘90s, Stephenville kept attracting PRCA’s biggest stars – stars like nine-time PRCA World Champion Ty Murray. Fast-forward to present day and Stephenville is home to more PRORODEO cowboys than anywhere. “There are so many people here that when you shake their hand and look them in the eye, they mean it,” said Chad Decker, founder of the Cowboy Capital of the World Rodeo Association. “There's no such thing as a contract that goes along with it.
