On Wednesday, April 23rd, Roger Williams University appointed Lora Ardoin as the inaugural head coach for their women’s ice hockey program. The team will hit the ice for the 2026-2027 season.
Ardoin, a native of Houston, TX, comes to the Hawks after spending last season as an assistant coach with Utica University. While with the Pioneers, Ardoin focused with on-ice skill work, in-game systems, video breakdown, travel logistics and assisted with recruiting efforts.
She spent one season as an assistant coach at Union College (DI) in 2023-2024 and the two seasons prior at Stevenson University. Ardoin got her start in coaching at Elmira College where she took on the graduate assistant position from 2019-2021.
In her playing days, Ardoin graduated from SUNY Canton in 2017 after a four-year playing career. She served as team captain for two seasons while skating in 87 games and putting together 25 points with 13 goals & 12 assists.
