Widespread blackouts have hit Spain, Portugal and some parts of France leaving many without electricity and completely halting public transport networks.⁣ ⁣ Parts of Madrid underground have been evacuated due to the outage and road traffic slowed to a crawl with some traffic lights inoperable. ⁣ ⁣ The outage is also affecting internet and phone network access.⁣ ⁣ Spanish power grid operator Red Electrica says it’s working with energy companies to restore power. ⁣ ⁣ Spain’s public transport network Metrovalencia confirmed traffic is disrupted throughout the entire network and the extent and duration of the outage are unknown. ⁣ ⁣ #Spain #Portugal #blackout #outage #breakingnews
