Betsy Knight delights in paying forward the rewarding experience of #volunteering for Canine Companions. A repeat puppy raiser in the Enchanted New Mexico Volunteer Chapter, Betsy became involved through the inspiration she drew from Karen and Michael Molony. “They are our longest-tenured puppy raisers here in New Mexico,” Betsy saya of the Molony family. “And I saw them in church with dogs for years.” That exposure to Karen and Michael’s future #servicedogs became an opportunity for Betsy to extend the spirit of service within her own family. At the request of her son, Henry—the youngest of three, with older siblings away at college—Betsy became a #puppy raiser for the first time. In turn, the Canine Companions family grew—and grew well beyond Betsy’s household.
