This is exactly the right time for a change.
Iona Prep has more proven firepower than any team in the Lower Hudson Valley right now and is coming off an impressive week. The Gaels hit the road and hung a 15-5 loss on Section 5 power Victor then picked up a 17-3 win over Section 2 power Shenendehowa.
They came home and took some frustration out during a 24-6 win over Stepinac on Saturday, April 26, running their winning streak to five in a row. (Photo shows Iona’s Stephen Kidder (24) firing a shot against Stepinac.) A ridiculous stretch of high-powered opponents gets under way Tuesday against St. Anthony's. That game is followed by meetings with New Canaan (Connecticut) Seton Hall Prep (New Jersey) and Chaminade.
