For me, one of the most special things about thru-hiking (or traveling, really) is the people (and dogs) you meet along the way. The gals and I were given the royal treatment by trail angel Nitsy during our recent stop in Cabazon/ Banning. Nitsy has a tough exterior but dig a little bit and you’ll find a badass woman with a varied career who absolutely adores hikers and puts 1,000% effort in for them. I was blown away by her generosity in hosting us and delighted by her sense of humor.
