Today is National Teacher Appreciation Day!
We’ve all had the one teacher who made an impact on our lives. I’ve been fortunate to have several teachers from high school through college make a lasting impact on me and influenced me to become a teacher as an adult.
✅ Marlene Naquin was my Honors Calculus teacher during my senior year of high school
✅ Dr. Deanne Stephens who was my history professor during my freshman and aophomore years at Southern Miss
✅ Mary Farmer-Kaiser who was my history professor at UL Lafayette
✅ Sandy Duhé who was my senior PR campaigns professor at UL Lafayette
✅ Philip Auter who was one of my PR professors and advisor at UL Lafayette
In addition to my late grandfather, Dr. James Foret, being a long-time professor and dean at UL Lafayette, I found my way to teaching in college because of these individuals.
I hope I have impacted students the way they have me over the course of my career.
