Come with me to the nmaahc National Museum of African American History and Culture in DC—before Trump and his people try to erase it. Yeah, I said it. This isn’t my first visit, so what’s stopping you? It’s free and open 7 days a week.
The exhibits are emotional and real—from the Greensboro lunch counter (still there!) to civil rights artifacts they’d rather hide. Take your time. It’s heavy. But once you make it to Black entertainment history? Whew. oprah never missed an episode—4,500 over 25 years! That’s Black excellence.
It’s visually stimulating, nostalgic, and takes you right back to the moment Barack Obama was elected. I can’t celebrate the architect of this museum enough.
The cafe line is always busy so hit up cheesecakefactory (Chicken Bellagio me foreverrrr) after—it was delicious as always. Hopefully you’re convinced to pull up. And if you have any questions feel free to flood the comment section or my dms. That’s a wrap. 💁🏾♀️
