#repost msimanib I couldn’t let March pass without reflecting on how the month started with Selma Jubilee. In 2020, Selma Jubilee became one of my last memories before the world shut down for COVID. In 2025, Selma Jubilee sticks out in my memory for another reason: the monumental 60th anniversary of Bloody Sunday with the backdrop of federal threats to voting rights. I earnestly soaked up the energy of the civil rights greats and fortified myself for the fight ahead. And oh what a fight we have ahead of us.
